Our great big 7 month old!

Okay, so as usual I'm totally late in posting, but to say it has been a busy couple of months is an understatement! Sophia has had 2 colds, the last of which lasted 2 weeks, and resulted in the pediatrician being convinced she has asthma! (awesome....) She got all of us sick both times (including the dog who puked on the carpet), and just recently on the day of Nick's first half-marathon, I came down with the flu! What a whirlwind. The cherry on top was that this last week, Nick lost his job, where he was one of the top ten in sales several times over, including this month and next month too! Go figure? We definitely didn't see that one coming! Anyway, now that all that's off my chest, little Miss Sophia is now a pro at sitting up on her own, and is starting to push up onto her hands and knees, so you know what that means....mobility is right around the corner aaahhhh!!!! Nick better get cracking on the babyproofing! Sophia also started eating solids, and loves peas, sweet potatoes, carrots and squash!

So, I've been dabbling in photography, and practicing on Sophia. She's such a good little model! I took her 6-month photos down below, and I'm pretty happy with them. Let me know what you think! Anyway, here's the latest photos!

Thanksgiving in Florida

Well, Sophia finally had her first airplane ride (outside my belly that is ha!)! She did phenomenally well , not even making a peep for the long 4.5 hours to Atlanta, and just a little fuss on the quick trip from Atlanta to Sarasota. Sophia had a great time visiting with her Nana Lombardo, and all of her Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Some of the highlights of our week were: We spent some time at the beautiful Siesta Key Beach, with Dennis, Jodi, and the kids, visited with Nick's friends John and Pam, and their cute little girl Olivia, and spent some quality time shopping at the fabulously chic, St. Armand's Circle.

We had Thanksgiving at Nick's sister, Barb's house. It was surprisingly all decorated for Christmas! We celebrated an early Christmas with Nick's family, right alongside the turkey dinner. So much fun! Sophia finally got to meet her Aunt Kathy (who I think she called beforehand and coordinated her outfit with), Uncle Terry (Who as seen below, was caught trying to start her a little early on "grape juice"), and cousin Kate (whom Sophia thinks has fabulous taste in fashion!). She also spent some quality time with all of her young cousins, who loved taking care of her, and showing her all sorts of fun things. All in all it was a great trip!

Just a little update about Sophia's milestones: Our 4-month-old is now rolling over like a maniac from back to front, but it makes her really mad, because she hates being on her tummy, and she can't figure out how to roll back! She's also found her toes, and now (much to Mommy's embarrassment) sucks on her big toe, as if it's her thumb (I'm dying inside, just writing that, eek!). She's also now chatting up a storm. If you call our home on any given day, she might just talk to you too! And, I've saved the best for last, she now has a legitimate giggle! Oh my goodness is it cute, too! I find myself prancing around doing anything to evoke that heavenly little sound!

Well, we hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! I can't wait to see what Santa brings....hmmm....

We had to stop her from throwing up the gang signs! lol!

Wearing her outfit for her big tv debut

Check out my new moves, I'm 4 months old!

At the airport, ready to see my Nana!

October fun!

Wow! Our little girl is already 3 1 /2 months old! We had a great October. For Halloween, Sophia was a lamb, and she went with Luigi to the annual costume contest and pet parade at Petsmart. She also went to her costume party at her mommy & me playgroup that we attend every Wednesday! She loves all the fun songs, puppets, and games we play. It's so cute to see her smile and wiggle!

Sophia is growing so fast! She already loves spending time in her jumperoo! She also has a new trick...thumb-sucking, much to mommy's sadness ;( I'm just picturing my 10-year-old daughter that I'm still trying to pry the thumb out of her mouth...ugh!

Well, our next stop is Thanksgiving...we're headed to Florida to spend time with Nick's family. Sophia's first airplane ride: Happy or hairy??? Stay tuned.....

2 Months...Working on 3

I can't believe it's October already! Time is just flying by. Our little girl hit her 2-month mark, and she's starting to morph into a little person. She's holding her head up now, and has discovered that she loves sitting in her little Bumbo chair and watching Tickle-me-Elmo over and over and over (Mommy gets tired of Elmo much faster than Sophia does!). We've discovered that she's a morning person. She greets us with a big smile every morning, which I have to say puts me in a great mood for the day!

Since I last wrote, Sophia was dedicated at our church over Labor Day weekend, and she had all of her grandparents there, and her two Aunts, Barb and Diane and Uncle Logan! We also went with Nick's family to the zoo for the day, and Sophia slept almost through the whole thing! Sophia had her latest dr's appointment a couple of weeks ago, and she's a whopping 11 lbs 4 oz! She's our little sack of sugar! We're getting excited for Halloween, and can't wait to go trick-or-treating! Can't wait to show off her costume!

Happy Fall!

Love,
